Decision: Medical leave granted to fixed salary employees will be carried forward

5 years job leave will benefit in regular appointment

Fixed salary employees get the benefit of medical leave. However, the resolution that the benefit of sick leave accumulated in five years after completion of five years of service will be availed even after full-time appointment is being seen among the employees of the state finance department.

In the recruitment of staff in each department by the state government, a fixed salary is given for five years. Fixed salary employees get sick leave benefit. However, the Office of the Director of Accounts and Treasury was perplexed as to whether to carry forward the sick leave extended for five years with full pay benefit at the end of five years.

However, when a fixed salary employee is paid in full, the entry in his service book is done by the Accounts and Treasury Office. To clear up this confusion, the Accounts and Treasury Office sought clarification in a written submission to the state finance department. Therefore, as per the resolution of the State Finance Department for the year 2016, an employee performing duty on fixed salary has completed satisfactory service and on regular appointment they can carry forward the sick leave balance accumulated during the five years of service in fixed salary after regular appointment.

Asked about the sick leave carry forward fixed salary employees said that these holidays were done by each department in its own way. But the finance department has clarified that the accounts and treasury office are confused. But the 30 vacations you get throughout the year are not carried forward with regular pay. The employees have therefore approached the state government with a demand to carry forward the 30 days of leave per year
