After SonyLIV’s Scam 1992, Pratik Gandhi has signed his next web series. Titled Vitthal Teedi, the Gujarati series will release on streaming platform Oho Gujarati.
The series, directed by Abhishek Jain and written by Bhargav Purohit, has Pratik playing Vitthal, who grows up in a village playing cards for money, and becomes a renowned gambler after he moves to the big city.
When did you come up with the idea to write a story? When asked, the answer was that I am a primary school teacher and I have been writing since 2016. I have written more than 200 short stories and four novels.
The story is based on the Vitthal D fact. There is a whole lot of fiction in the answer. It turned out that many of the characters were taken from my childhood in the 150's and the period of the job that was then. However, this is a fixer. Written about five years ago in 2016. How did this story reach Abhishek Jain? I used to share my story post on social media. I never posted my story in any magazine. I write in my own way. I don't write following the rules of the story. Abhishek liked this story and then in the last lockdown he got an offer that he liked this story very much. I have directed four films. I didn't know that Prateek Shraddha Dangar was going to work in the film. I had no idea that it would be so overwhelming. There was yo but I couldn't go because of Corona. I haven't seen the series yet yet
How did he become a teacher instead of becoming a doctor? He said that his hometown is Bhamriya village in Bhavnagar and he took primary education here. He took secondary education in Manpur institute. He wanted to become a doctor and took admission in 11 sciences. But my father was from Panchayat. My father was working in rationing and that is why no. Mamlatdar said that once you make your boy a teacher then he will have to study and he did PTC by putting up science.
