 Reading, writing and arithmetic skills for students have become a basic and essential requirement for all types of schooling and lifelong learning, although many government and non-government surveys clearly indicate that we are currently facing a serious study problem.  At present, more than 50 million children in primary schools do not have basic literacy and numeracy, which means that such children cannot do many simple tasks like simple writing, reading and comprehension and addition and subtraction of Indian numerals.

Initiatives like the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and the Right to Education Act have made great strides in achieving universal access to primary education in the last few years, according to the survey.  That also suggests some serious issues regarding the survival of children which shows that a significant number of students will drop out of school after standard five and especially after standard eight.

 All children are given equal opportunities to be admitted into the education system  Two campaigns will be launched to bring in and prevent children from dropping out of school to re-study their favorite subject, the first of which is to provide government and adequate infrastructure so that all students can get safe and effective education at all levels from pre-primary school to standard 12  In addition, special care must be taken to ensure that there is no permanent lack of infrastructure at any level of school education.
