Shri Vajpayee Bankable Scheme
Scheme to provide financial loans / assistance to cottage industry artisans through nationalized banks, co-operative banks, public sector banks, private banks
(1) Purpose: - Under this scheme the intention is to provide self employment to the unemployed persons in urban and rural areas of Gujarat. People with disabilities or blind people will also be able to take advantage of this scheme.
(2) Eligibility of the scheme:
1. Age: 18 to 6 years
. Educational Qualification: At least Std-8 (four) pass or
Training / Experience: Must have at least 3 months training from a private institute suitable for the profession or at least one month training from a government recognized institute or have one year business related experience or have inherited craftsmanship.
. There is no income limit.
(3) Maximum limit of loan through bank:
(1) Maximum 2.5 lakh for industry sector.

(Ii) Maximum 2.5 lakh for service sector.
(2) Maximum 2.5 lakh for trade sector.
(2) Assistance rate on loan amount: Assistance rate for industry, service and trade sector under this scheme will be as under.
Area General Category Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Veteran Soldier / Women / 50% or more
(2) Maximum limit of assistance:
Limit of Amount of Field Assistance (Amount in Rupees) 1 Industry 2.1,000,000 Services 2.1,00,000 Business General Category Urban 2.50,000 Rural 2.2,000 Reserve Category Urban / Rural 4.50,000 Sector Beneficiaries Note: The maximum assistance will be Rs. 1,2,000 / -.
