Vidyanjali is a special initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to develop schools across the country through the Vidyanjali program, which connects schools with the community / community and the private sector.  The Vidyanjali program will connect schools with various volunteers such as young professionals, school alumni, in-service and retired teachers / government officials / professionals, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and all others.  A portal has been prepared by the Ministry of Education, Government of India for the implementation of this program.  The portal can be accessed through the website https://vidyanjali.education.gov.in.  The school will have to register itself on the Vidyanjali portal along with its primary information.  After registration, the school will have to post a request with details of service / activity or assets / materials / equipment for the required external collaboration. 




 Volunteers who are registered on the portal will show their interest on the portal for requesting service / activity or assets / materials / device based on the request post.  The school will authorize the volunteer to participate in the service / activity or assets / materials / equipment.  The service under the Vidyanjali program i.e. Yoga, Art & Craft, Vocational Education, Language Education, Assistance to Children with Special Needs, Competitive Exams etc.  In addition to counselors and special educators, counselors for mental health and well-being, participation in sports and cultural programs, health and hygiene resources, self-defense training for girls, etc.  Will be able to post requests for infrastructure as well as various types of resources.  At the district level, for the implementation of the program as well as effective management, the Deputy District Education Officer will have to handle the work as the District Nodal Officer.

Guidelines About vidhyanjali portal


The new education policy seeks to transform all levels of education in India through the active participation of society as well as the private sector in achieving its goals and objectives.  The various chapters of NEP-2020 emphasize the participation of the community as well as the volunteers.  The Department of School Education and Literacy of the Ministry of Education has re-launched the Vidyanjali web portal https://vidvanjali.education.gov.in/en with improvements.  The new Vidyanjali portal will help the social volunteers to directly contact and engage in their knowledge and skills as well as contributing material resources in the government and government aided schools of their choice, depending on the interest of the volunteer / contributor, school authority service / activity and / or material materials. 


 The volunteer will evaluate the eligibility of the contributor according to the procedure outlined in this guide for specification.  A detailed guide to the Vidyajanli web portal is attached herewith.  This guide provides detailed information on categories for contributions, methods, role of schools, role of volunteers, role of nodal officer, code of conduct, special guidelines for States / UTs and autonomous bodies as well as termination of services.  Also included are Appendix-1 and Appendix-1, respectively, a list of categories for contributions to services activities and contributions to property materials, respectively.  You will also find detailed user manuals for school, district and regional nodal officer and volunteer work on the portal.  As well as requesting from your level to start using the portal extensively.

      In case where the contribution received is equal to the demand made by the school, the request post will be closed.  School Registration: Schools with Unified District Information System for Education Plus (UDISE +) code will have to register on the Vidyanjali portal by providing their UDISE + code, registered mobile number and one-time password received on the registered mobile number, ii.  Posting a Request for Contribution: Depending on the number of students and their needs, available physical infrastructure, availability of human resources, and other resources at the school, the school will be able to post a list of required service activity or resource materials on the web portal app.   To shortlist the volunteers for the meeting based on the list of services activities or property materials / equipment requested by the school as per the above issue No. (ii) and the interest expressed by the volunteer,  Shortlists will be selected for their potential contribution after evaluation based on the standards.  iv.  


Dialogue / Discussion with Volunteers A face-to-face or virtual meeting will be organized by the school to find out details of the proposed asset material resources for the volunteer's field of expertise or contribution.  The dialogue with the volunteers will determine how the school can take advantage of the volunteer's contribution based on the specified time of the school or the time the volunteer can contribute assets / materials / equipment.  The comprehensive outline of the interview and the evaluation of the volunteer profile must include the following: required specialized skills, qualifications and relevant experience,.  .  .


  The final selection will be made by the school after checking the precedents and grounds of the volunteers by the school authority on the basis of specific guidelines given by the concerned state government in this regard.  The final decision will be based on the volunteer's dialogue / discussion with the school authority.  .  v.  Determining Volunteer Participation: The school may enter into an agreement with the selected volunteer.  The school may also issue a certificate to encourage the volunteer to contribute to the school.  The agreement and certificate are not part of the Vidyanjali portal and the school will be able to arrange for it separately.  vi.  No funds / salary / honorarium will be given to the volunteer for contribution.  vii.  It will be the responsibility of the schools / school administration to carry out all background checks, assessment of abilities etc. of the volunteers.  In case of any problem in this regard, the entire responsibility will lie with the school administration.  Volunteer Role 3 


      Create monthly / quarterly / yearly reports based on participation in the program for monitoring and evaluation.  Code of Conduct i.  Applies to government and government aided schools.  The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education will have the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time in respect of contributions by volunteers. Volunteers will be bound to accept any such changes.  ii.  Volunteers will not be liable for any activity / contribution that may be assigned to the volunteer or any employee of the volunteer or for any direct, indirect, accidental or incidental loss.  No remuneration is payable to volunteers under this program by schools, state or central government.  jv.  V.


 The volunteer must strictly adhere to privacy and will not disclose confidential information of activity, functions and policies to any person, organization or social media platform.  Volunteers must conduct business in their dealings with the school authority and others.  vii.  Volunteers will have to submit their work report before leaving the school.  viii.  Assigning an activity to a volunteer does not entitle them to a claim for employment education non-teaching activities in the school / department ministry.  in.  The duration of service rendered by the volunteer will not be considered as full-time work experience.  Any certificate of appreciation given by the school will not be considered as experience-certificate.  *.

The human hours allotted to the volunteer for the activity will be determined by the school authority in consultation with the volunteer and the volunteer will have to comply to complete the activity successfully.  xi.  The volunteer will have to provide a self-certificate stating that the property is owned by the material equipment and the item (s) is in good working condition and the volunteer is transferring the ownership of the property to the school.  In addition, the school will not be legally responsible for any misconduct on the part of the volunteer.

 xii.  Vidyanjali is just a platform for schools and volunteers to bring together voluntary contributions.  The Ministry of Education shall not be responsible for verifying the requirements posted by the schools / states or for identifying the volunteers or for the work done by them.  xiii.  Contributions should create a temporary or permanent responsibility at the school state national level Nadi 3 = 7
