Eligibility, Terms and Conditions:
The applicant should be a student studying in class 8 in a government recognized school in a rural area of Gujarat.
[Students studying in Class 10 for the year 2022-23 only can also apply.]
The selection of students for Vikas Scholarship will be based on the marks obtained in class 7, their financial status and the marks obtained in the screening test, which will be conducted by PRL.
[For students of class 10 marks obtained in class 9(IX) will be considered. Rest of the selection process will remain the same.]
The applicant has to provide a written certificate from the principal of the school which must contain the following details.
Name of the student and whether the student is a regular student of the school or not.
Name of the educational board to which the school is attached.
Registration No. of School Board or Gujarat Education Department.
Details whether the school is government, semi-government or private.
Language medium of the school.
Whether the school is located in a rural area of Gujarat or not.
The applicant has to provide proof of income which should clearly state that the total annual income of the student's family from all sources of income does not exceed one and a half lakh rupees. This instance should be given by any one of the authorities mentioned below.
Officials authorized for revenue instance: Tehsildar, Revenue Officer (Mamalatdar), S.D.M., Taluka Magistrate, Collector, District Magistrate, A.D.M. That equates to them.
Vikram Sarabhai Protsahan Yojana:- Physical Research Laboratory located in Ahmedabad. Active students are encouraged by this organization to spread scientific attitude and approach. Students living in the interior rural areas of Gujarat state face financial difficulties as well as lack of guidance and several other problems. Considering the problems of this institution, it has been announced to give a scholarship in memory of Vikram Sarabhai, the founder of this institution. This scholarship is given to encourage economically weaker students living in rural areas of Gujarat to pursue higher education in science. The name of this scholarship is Vikram Sarabhai Incentive Yojana (Development Scholarship Scheme).
.RL will independently verify the evidence furnished by the students selected for the scholarship and if any particulars are found to be incorrect or necessary facts have been deliberately suppressed or omitted, the award of the scholarship to that candidate will be withdrawn.
The annual renewal of the scholarship will be subject to the fact that the student continues his studies in the following year.
Students will have to submit a copy of the result at the end of each academic year during the scholarship period and a certificate from the head of the school that they have continued education and their overall academic performance is good.
The scholarship of a scholarship recipient can be continued after class 10 only if the student continues his studies in science stream in class 11. The student will have to submit a certificate from the head of the school to show this fact.
A student who has received the scholarship is a P.R.L. It is easy to state that he has received any other scholarship or financial aid. A student receiving financial aid from other sources or receiving other scholarships is not necessarily excluded from receiving a development scholarship.
At any time any discrepancy in the application of a scholarship recipient is noticed by PRL, the scholarship of that student will be terminated immediately.
PRL reserves the right to change any rules, selection process or conditions related to the scholarship without prior notice. Independent
Vikas Shishyavriti Yojana (Vikram Sarabhai Incentive Yojana) Key Features
PRL Ahmedabad provides this scholarship to students studying in schools in rural areas.
Students from rural areas who are studying in class 8 and whose total family income is less than ₹1,50,000 per annum will benefit from this scheme.
Students selected for this scholarship will get a scholarship of Rs 1 lakh for a period of four years.
20,000 in class 9, 20,000 in class 10 and if the student studies in science stream after passing class 10, 30,000 in class 11 and 30,000/- in class 12, a total scholarship of 1,00,000/- will be given.
The scholarship will be awarded to 10 students per year, five out of ten scholarships will be awarded to girls.
For the year 2022 23 10 scholarships are available for students currently studying in class 10 who are planning to take science stream in class 11 12 next year if the student is selected for this scholarship the scholarship is 30,000/- in class 11 and in class 12 30,000/- out of total assistance of Rs.60,000/- will be available.
