There is good news for parents regarding the admission process under the RTE (Right to Education) Act. Under the Right to Education Act, you can educate your children in private schools at government expense. The date of application for admission under RTE in the state has been announced
Under this act, the date of application for admission to free private schools in class 1 to 8 has been announced. Parents can apply from March 30 to April 11. Importantly, as on 31 May 2023, it is necessary to be 6 years old for admission to class 1. Application for admission under RTE has to be done online. Anyone can fill the form for RTE online at the official website rte.orpgujarat.com.
It may be mentioned here that parents can fill the form with the necessary documents mentioned here till April 11 is the last date for filling the form.
Application date announced
The date of application for admission in free private schools in class 1 to 8 has been declared. Parents can apply from March 30 to April 11. Importantly, as on 31 May 2023, it is necessary to be 6 years old for admission to class 1. Application for admission under RTE has to be done online.
To avoid cancellation of your form, before filling the form carefully read the required documents for filling the form mentioned on the homepage and the details of the documents to be uploaded while filling the form. Rs. A registered tenancy agreement is not required if any of Aadhaar card / passport / electricity bill / water bill / election card / ration card of child's father is proof of residence.

Agreement - Lease agreement registered as per Gujarat Stamp Act 1958 and deposited in the concerned police station will be considered valid.
(Notarized rental agreement will not be valid).
