Swachhta (Cleanliness) is everyone's business and Ministries /Departments of the Union Government will play a considerable role in facilitating it. Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi referred to as upon all Ministries/Departments to bring Swachhta as a component in their schemes and activities so every of them and also the establishments, companies and offices underneath them will contribute to realize Swachh India.
Acting on Prime Minister's this vision, the Department of beverage and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Hindu deity being the nodal Department coordinated with all Ministries/Departments to settle and collate their Swachhta Action Plans (SAP). within the year 2017-18, seventy six Ministries/Departments have earmarked funds value 5248 large integer rupees for his or her swachhta plans. every Ministry/Department has started implementing its SAP from first Apr 2017.
The object behind this portal http://swachhtaactionplan.com is to focus on the contribution and efforts projected by seventy six Ministries/Departments of Govt. of India. Progress in implementation of Swachhta Acton set up are often caterpillar-tracked and monitored by MDWS, the Committee of Secretaries, cupboard Secretary and also the Prime Minister's workplace. Presently the portal is being accessed by all seventy six Ministries/Departments to transfer their SAP with budget, activities, pictures, reports.

Swachhta Action set up heralds a milestone within the functioning of the complete Government in terms of every Ministry usurping responsible and Budgeted Swachhta action plans in line with the Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision. The idea behind the SAP portal are often seen as adding a clear, time-bound, dynamic and Inter- ministry dimension towards realizing a Swachh India.
